Your Workplace

Arvika, a nature-close small town with strong Värmland traditions, a good range of leisure activities, and a vibrant cultural and music scene. We have about 18,300 registered patients and around 50 dedicated employees.

Arvika is beautifully located by the shores of Glafsfjorden. Here, you will meet a well-functioning team with broad competence, including district doctors, ST and AT doctors, nurses with specialist competence, social workers, psychologists, nursing assistants, foot therapists, medical administrators, and operations managers.

We work closely together in teams and have a strong collaboration with Arvika municipality, especially regarding our most vulnerable elderly. We also have a well-established collaboration with Örebro University, so you will have the opportunity to supervise medical students.

Your Tasks

We can offer a stimulating and varied job in close collaboration with other professions and with good opportunities for development and further education.

You will meet patients both at scheduled times and during on-call hours, and as a general practitioner, you will also supervise AT/BT/ST. Responsibility for specific medical areas or external commitments such as SÄBO or BVC are other tasks that may be included. If you have a special interest in any field, we would be happy to discuss how we can take this further in the best way.

The position also includes work at the emergency center during weekends and on-call duties at certain times. Staffing is distributed within the medical group, usually according to personal preferences. To thrive and succeed in the role, we see that you have a good attitude, appreciate continuity, and value collaboration.

Your Skills and Competencies

We are looking for you who are a licensed physician with specialist competence in general medicine. Previous experience in primary care is an advantage but not a requirement.

As a person, you are flexible, clear, and structured in your work approach, and have a good ability to work both independently and in a team. You are driven to contribute to development and improvement work and have a commitment to creating quality in the meeting with the patient.
